February FUTURES Half Term at the British Motor Museum

The British Motor Museum have a great selection of future themed activities on this half term. From designing your own car of the future and family trails to daily ‘POWER’ Science Shows running from the 17th to 23rd February there is loads to choose from! On Thursday 20th February they will be hosting the STEM ambassadors from MOD Kineton who will be offering visitors the chance to code the futuristic Rover Robots to successfully negotiate their specially designed assault course.

Half Term at Warwick Castle Warwickshire

There’s a host of spectacular shows on this half term at Warwickshire’s best-known castle! Encounter the centuries-old art of archery like never before at the UK’s only Medieval Festival of Archery – you can even try your hand at archery – and marvel at the incredible skill and agility of their birds of prey in the Winter Birds of Prey display. 

Both shows are running daily from 15th to 23rd February.

Visit Shakespeare’s Schoolroom & Guildhall this half term and discover a coven of witches!

Inspired by the witches’ marks that are visible on one of the internal walls of the building which are believed to date back to the 15th century, this new trail is a great addition to the family fun that awaits visitors to the Schoolroom and Guildhall! A fascinating and fun new way for families to explore the 600 year-old building.

Get Hands On with History at Kenilworth Castle

Learn how to be a Knight or a Princess at Kenilworth Castle this half term! Discover what it was like to live, work and fight in a real-life castle! There is lots of hands-on fun planned everyday from the 15th – 23rd February that will keep the kids entertained. There’s sword fighting, dressing up and even a guide on how to be a medieval squire.

Shakespeare's New Place in Warwickshire

There’s lots of fun activities planned across the Shakespeare’s Family Homes for the half term week including:

  • Act out a scene from A Midsummer Night’s Dream using the shadow puppet theatre at Shakespeare’s New Place. You can also check out the new augmented reality and virtual reality Shakespeare XR that takes you ‘inside’ the grand house where Shakespeare lived.
  • Play detective at Anne Hathaway’s cottage – follow the trail to discover what’s eating the artefacts!
  • Listen to stories about Shakespeare and the house at Hall’s Croft
