Christmas can sometimes feel like it’s all about the kids, so we’ve trawled through all the events happening across Warwickshire this December for festive things to do for those without children, or for those with children who are looking for a ‘grown-up’ option too.

1st December 2019
Enjoy browsing a range of stalls in the beautiful surrounds of Stoneleigh Abbey. Get your Christmas shopping started with a variety of unique gifts, homemade decorations and delicious food on sale. There will even be a visit from King Charles I! With refreshments available plus free admission and parking it will be a great way to start the festive season. Full details here.
6th December 2019
After a successful concert last year, the world-class Royal Birmingham Conservatoire Chamber Choir will be performing a varied programme in the Chapel at Compton Verney on December 6th. Join them to hear a selection of choral music including some traditional Christmas carols. Tickets are selling fast – you can get yours here.
14th December 2019
Try something different this Christmas at the ‘Shakespeare Pub Quiz’ for trivia with a twist! Test your general knowledge – don’t worry the questions won’t all be about Shakespeare – and find your competitive spirit. Teams of two or more. You can pre-order a sharing board or there will be a selection of festive treats as well as hot, cold and alcoholic beverages available to purchase on the night. Get your tickets here.
14th December 2019 – 5th January 2020
Visit Shakespeare’s Birthplace over the Christmas period to see it filled with floral displays inspired by the traditional laying of flowers to symbolise the downing of tools and the beginning of celebrations. The stunning displays will be designed by local floral designers March Hare Floral Design and Tuckshop Flowers and will be well worth a visit. Full details here.
20th December 2019
Join the Coventry Philharmonic Chamber Choir in a festival of Christmas music through the ages in the beautiful surroundings of the family chapel within the glorious Stoneleigh Abbey. Seating is limited and you can reserve tickets by calling Stoneleigh Abbey. Full details here.
21st December 2019
Held annually, Carols at the Castle is a great opportunity for people of all ages to come together within the magnificent setting of Warwick Castle and join in an evening of festive merriment. The carols are led by the choir of St Mary’s and accompanied by the Royal Spa Brass. There will be a variety of stalls offering hot food and drinks including mulled wine. Tickets are available here.
