Warwickshire Attractions Begin to Re-Open

After weeks of closure some attractions in Warwickshire are ready to re-open and welcome visitors back again.

Following the relaxing of some of the lockdown rules at the beginning of the month those attractions that have been able to do so safely have re-opened their grounds and outside spaces for the public to enjoy. Visitors will notice a few changes that have been implemented to help keep them and staff safe whilst on site.

Warwick Castle opened its grounds and gardens for annual pass holders last weekend and to the general public today (8th June). Visitors need to pre-book tickets before visiting – which can be done here – and there are a number of safety measures in place including temperature checks, new signage and hygiene screens. Indoor areas remain closed at present.

Compton Verney’s grounds have been open since the 2nd of June offering a tranquil place to enjoy the natural environment – great for both physical and mental health. Visitors will need to be members, local pass holders or purchase a Grounds Pass here before visiting. Visitor numbers will be limited and hand santiser stations available.

Kenilworth Castle will be opening from 13th June. They will be operating timed entry tickets that will also need to be booked in advance here. Staff have been issued with PPE and their cleaning regime has been increased. Barriers to help with social distancing and hand santiser will be available.
