Warwick’s stunning Victorian pleasure gardens will be re-opening on the 1st July. The restored gardens at Hill Close offer a rare opportunity to take a look in to the Victorian era and visit plots once used by townsfolk living above their business to escape from the crowded town of Warwick. The sixteen garden plots have a variety of plants and designs, with summerhouses, and a Victorian-style Glasshouse. A perfect place for a stroll and an escape from modern life!
The gardens will be open on weekdays only from 11am – 3.30pm with a designated one-way route around the gardens with hand sanitizer available. Entry is £4.50 for adults and £1 for children 5-16 years. The glasshouses and Visitor Centre and tearoom will remain closed at present. Some plants and produce will be on sale – please use use Contactless cards if possible.
Although Garden events remain cancelled for the time being Hill Close have been offering and will continue to offer a number of virtual events from Thai Chi to Storytime for younger children. The Storytime sessions are on Facebook Live every Monday at 2pm. You can find out more about their events here.
